Why I founded Unpaused
I created Unpaused Medicine because I watched someone I love struggle through perimenopause and menopause without the support she deserved. My mother was told there was little that could be done after a study created widespread fear around hormone therapy.
Years later, as a nurse practitioner, I learned the story wasn't so simple. Research has evolved, and many women can safely benefit from personalized hormone therapy and other evidence-based treatments.
Women deserve time, education, a thoughtful medical evaluation, and a provider who listens to the full story. You don't have to put your life on pause.
